The Bear and The Lion

After careful consideration and common-sense prevailing, I considered my impending biological status at the age of sixty-two years old and having some level of awareness of my health; which was excellent at the time, I started writing everything that I had stored in long-term memory as the first step in the construction of this narrative. That was eighteen years ago.  I was aware when I was sixty-two years old that my years in the future were going to be different; of impending senior citizen status and thus I entered everything that I could remember from the time I have memory, likely, from the age of two or three to that moment when I started writing this narrative. My life as it has been has continued into the unknown; making observations, investigating and participating in the moment, every minute of the day.

Description

When I started the biography of my mother’s paternal ancestry now titled: “Who We Are,” it was the only segment of the narrative. The objective was to find her paternal origin history and to find out what life was like for them when they were growing up in the Lower Rio Grande Basin where the village of San Marcial used to be. More interesting is that they never talked about what life was like when they were growing up and I wondered why they did not talk about it and I found out.

Exploration

Indian intermixing of the Southwest and in my case; in the village where my sister and I were raised in New Mexico. Now with a couple of degrees under my belt I can make an assessment of the assimilation processes of my mothers’ parents and how we were affected.

Man On A Mission

Having taken blind leaps of faith most of my life and jumping into this search and investigation was no different. I embarked on what I thought was a simple project that would be done in one year?

Orgins

I continued on with their origin history in story form, having been raised by them from the age of three or four until the age of eleven or twelve and the circumstances of why we were living with the grandparents that were never revealed to us.
